Kimberly Cook-Lee, LCSW, brings 25 years of experience in the medical field, including behavioral health and hospice care. She began her career supporting clients through grief and loss and has since expanded her work to include survivors of complex trauma. Her time serving at a medical pregnancy center in Florida sparked a deep interest in women’s mental health, which continues to shape her practice today.
Kimberly specializes in domestic violence, grief and loss, physical abuse, PTSD, and sexual trauma. She is passionate about helping women and families find empowerment and transformation in their healing journeys.
Her approach is holistic, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, and spirit. She integrates body-based treatments to support nervous system regulation and brain healing. Kimberly is also passionate about creative expression, equine and animal-assisted learning, and faith-based counseling. She understands that developing new coping skills and improving self-care takes time, and she works collaboratively with clients to discover what fits best with their personality and strengths.
Kimberly views the therapeutic relationship as a partnership and honors each client as the expert of their own experience. She helps clients explore their personal beliefs, goals, and values in a safe and supportive space.
She offers Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an innovative, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, grief, phobias, and trauma. Kimberly finds ART to be a powerful method for helping clients “reset” or “rewire” the brain, leading to new perspectives and improved quality of life.
Kimberly holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. She is a Certified Grief Professional and has received advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, as well as specialized training in Perinatal Grief and Loss.
