Donna Huber
Donna Huber is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental health field for more than 20 years. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, social service agencies and at the University of Louisville Student Counseling Center, where she gained much experience with the college age population and the struggles they faced. She currently works with women struggling from depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, stress, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties.
For the past 8 years, she has been in private practice specializing in perinatal mood disorders (which includes pregnancy/postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, as well as mothers making the transition into motherhood). She works with women struggling with PTSD resulting from a traumatic childbirth as well as women who have experienced perinatal loss and/or finding out their child will be born with a disability.
Donna decided to specialize in perinatal mental health after struggling with postpartum depression herself. She is devoted to helping other mothers who may feel overwhelmed, depressed and anxious at a time when they feel they should be joyful and excited about their new baby.
Donna has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2001. She has specific training in treating perinatal mood disorders from Postpartum International and has served as a member of Postpartum Support Kentuckiana which provides support and assistance to postpartum women. She is also a member of National Association of Perinatal Social Workers.

Christy Weber
Christy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and founder of Bloom Counseling + Wellness Studio. She has been working with women and families for over 13 years. Christy specializes in pregnancy and postpartum moods disorders including postpartum depression, anxiety and OCD as well as helping new moms and dads adjust to parenthood. She also works with clients struggling with relationship conflict, domestic violence, adoption/fostering issues and infertility. In addition, Christy provides premarital counseling using the PREPARE/ENRICH program.
Christy uses an eclectic approach when working with clients, combining components from client-centered, solution-focused and CBT therapies. She believes the client/therapist relationship is one of the most important elements in therapy. When the client is engaged in therapy with a trusting, compassionate therapist the opportunity for change and growth is tremendous.
Christy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky with specialized training in perinatal mood disorders, sexual assault/abuse and domestic violence. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from DePaul University in Chicago.

Teea Fullen-Barnes
Teea Fullen-Barnes is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate as well as a Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer. Teea provides individual counseling to adults. She has a special interest and experience working with postpartum clients, college students, mothers exploring their identity outside of motherhood and clients from the BIPOC/minority community. She also enjoys working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, stress management, self esteem issues, relationship concerns, boundary setting and other general mental health concerns.
Teea utilizes approaches such as person-centered, cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapies to guide her treatment. She enjoys helping individuals overcome challenges they may face to achieve their goals and to be the best version of themselves. Teea also enjoys helping individuals create healthy boundaries and incorporating the outdoors in counseling.
Teea has completed specialized training to diagnose and treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as well as perinatal grief and loss. She gained experience working with pregnant and postpartum clients during her practicum at Bloom Counseling + Wellness Studio. Teea received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University, a Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Spalding University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. As an athletic trainer, she’s helped a diverse population of athletes, as well as the general population through physical injuries and limitations. Her work included providing emotional support, active listening, empathy and overall mental health assistance. This foundation and professional experience was integral in shaping the way she provides mental health support in the counseling setting.

Christy Theodore
Christy Theodore is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and National Certified Counselor. She works with adults, adolescents, families, and couples. In addition to mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, Christy specializes in sexual issues including trauma and abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, and sexual dysfunctions. Christy identifies as a Christian. She can incorporate faith into counseling when a client requests this approach to treatment. She works with clients from a variety of belief systems and only includes client’s spiritual or religious beliefs when requested and appropriate.
In the counseling process, Christy pulls from techniques including client-centered, DBT, CBT, and somatic/body-based therapies. She also relies heavily on a systemic framework, which considers how one’s family system has impacted them. Christy believes that counseling must be a safe, collaborative and compassionate space that is tailored to each client’s individual needs. She is honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside her clients in their healing journeys.
Christy received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Georgia where she also earned a graduate certificate in sex therapy. She has experience working at a large psychiatric hospital in metro Atlanta, as well as in the private practice setting.
Christy has received additional training in working with trauma and the body, sex addiction, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Levels 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. She has also completed specialized training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Grief and Loss. As an EMDR trained therapist, Christy helps clients process trauma including sexual assault and birth trauma.

Jessica Nutt
Jessica Nutt is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and family systems in a variety of settings such as foster care, community mental health, and private practice. Jessica believes there is great value in understanding and even integrating the client’s family system in the therapeutic process and feels this is especially important in her work with children and adolescents.
Jessica received her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Campbellsville University. She has also received specialized training in trauma informed care, play therapy, as well as the Gottman Method for couples counseling. In addition, she has completed training to diagnose and treat pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders.
Jessica is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families. She enjoys assisting her clients in overcoming obstacles, achieving their goals, and empowering them to meet new challenges with all the tools and resources they may need.

Autumn Shutt
Autumn Shutt is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and offers medication management for adults and children ages 14 and older.
Autumn’s areas of interest include women’s mental health, perinatal mood disorders, PMDD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Autumn focuses on a holistic approach by looking at the clients nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management and coping skills to help them achieve optimal results in their mental health treatment plan.
Autumn earned a Masters of Science in Nursing and a Post-Masters PMHNP Certificate from Western Kentucky University.

Carol Ryan is a board certified holistic nurse specializing in creative wellness strategies to provide individualized integrative approaches in health. Her areas of expertise include stress management, relaxation techniques, pain management and health promotion.
Carol is certified to practice Integrative Imagery, Reiki, and Jin Shin Jyutsu. These integrative health techniques are safe and natural approaches to improve and restore balance to the clients she serves. She provides a unique partnership to help people reach optimal wellness and balance.
Carol is a graduate of the Beyond Ordinary Nursing program in Imagery. Using integrative imagery skills, she offers group and individual sessions to access inner resources for healing by using an interactive dialogue to explore thoughts, promote coping, and help clients reach individualized needs and promote healing. Carol uses mind-body techniques like Reiki, an ancient Japanese art, to promote healing through connecting with the body’s natural energies through her healing hands. She is also trained in the ancient art of Jin Shin Jyutsu to offer gentle touch to harmonize the life energy of the body through this relaxing practice to balance specific points to harmonize the flow to impact the body, mind and spirit. The art of this ancient healing therapy has been used for thousands of years to restore balance, to relieve stress, and to integrate into health practice for daily use and maintenance. Through these and other integrative approaches, Carol is able to help clients achieve optimal wellness and restoration to achieve goals. Bonnie’s interest in lactation began as a student intern when she attended a breastfeeding class. After years of studying nutrition, she was intrigued by this first food (breast milk) and wondered why everyone wasn’t talking about it! Since then she has committed her career to families of childbearing years to promote, protect and support breastfeeding as normal infant feeding.
Bonnie has over 10 years of experience in nutrition, breastfeeding, and birth She is a Registered Dietitian (RD), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a trained birth doula through DONA. She was born and raised in Tennessee, was a long-time resident of Kentucky, lived out her dream in New York City with her husband and most recently lived and worked in Glacier National Park in Montana and traveled the U.S. on the ultimate road trip. Currently, she is proud to be back in the Commonwealth of Kentucky helping moms and babies in and around Louisville, Lexington and Southern Indiana. And most recently she has become a mother to Finley. He is her family’s greatest adventure!
Combining her work as a registered dietitian and lactation consultant, she is honored to provide nutrition and breastfeeding help for many families to support them in reaching their goals.

Katherine Kaiser
Katherine is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University. Katherine Kaiser has been a clinical counselor for eight years with a specialty in pregnancy & postpartum mood disorders, anxiety, relaxation, meditation and mindfulness. She typically works from a cognitive behavioral therapy approach but believes in pulling from multiple theoretical perspectives to best meet the client’s needs. She is a mother of two and lives on the north side of Indianapolis.

Erica Quarles
Erica Quarles is a Licensed Professional Art Therapy Associate. She works with families, children, teens and individuals. In addition to traditional talk therapy, Erica enjoys using art to help create a safe space for clients of all ages to open up, discover their inner strength and find their path to healing. She also enjoys using play therapy techniques to engage deeper emotions in children and help them to develop new coping skills.
She received her Master’s degree in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in art therapy from the University of Louisville. She has received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Functional Therapy and Gentle Parenting to assist children who have been through traumatic events in their life. She has also completed specialized training to diagnose and treat perinatal mood disorders including pregnancy and postpartum anxiety and depression.
Erica has worked with the Kentucky child welfare system in a family preservation setting. She understands what it takes to help families and children cope with trauma, anxiety, school-related difficulties, parenting skills, etc.
She enjoys helping individuals, families, and children gain the skills needed to overcome the challenges they are facing, find joy in their lives and reach their potential. Bloom Counseling + Wellness Studio provides mental health and wellness services, with a specialty in preconception, pregnancy, postpartum and parenting support. Our services include counseling, parent coaching, lactation consultations, nutritional services, mom’s groups and workshops.
Bloom Counseling + Wellness Center is hiring a fully licensed psychotherapist to provide in-person and telehealth counseling services. Our ideal candidate will have one of the following licensures and be willing to be added to our Humana group contract (we provide credentialing):
- A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- A licensed Psychotherapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)
This is an independent contractor position in a private practice setting. We are seeking an experienced counselor who has a passion for working with women and couples struggling with issues related to maternal mental health. Candidate must have availability to see clients a minimum of 12 sessions per week including 2 evenings and/or Saturday or Sunday hours.
