Heather Hudson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, private practice and a residential facility serving our veterans. These opportunities allowed Heather to assist clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, parenting difficulties and self-esteem struggles.
Heather has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. She has also obtained specific training in treating Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Additionally, Heather highly values continuous learning and constantly seeks to add to her knowledge base.
Combining her professional and personal experiences, Heather utilizes a strength-based approach individualized to each client. Her goal is to support and assist each person in identifying their strengths. These strengths can then be drawn upon as the client adjusts to the challenging life transition and addressing the current difficult situation. Heather also believes each person is an expert on themselves and that they are doing the best they can in the moment. Sometimes however, people can become stuck and need assistance in finding new perspectives or new skills. Using the strength-based individualized approach, Heather can assist others in finding those new perspectives and skills which will help the client reach the goals they’ve envisioned.
