Monica is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with extensive experience in both community mental health and in-home counseling services. Over the years, she has supported individuals and families navigating a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges, with a focus on creating safe, supportive environments where healing and growth can take place.
As a bilingual, Latino-American therapist, Monica brings cultural humility and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of the communities she serves. She is passionate about working with children and families—particularly those impacted by anxiety, trauma, and other mental health concerns. Her approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices that empower clients to build resilience and emotional wellness.
Monica has a special interest in women’s mental health, with experience supporting clients through perinatal and postpartum transitions, parenting stress, identity shifts, and other life changes. She is especially skilled at helping women reconnect with their inner strengths and navigate the emotional complexities of different life stages.
Her clinical work is informed by trauma-informed care and strength-based interventions, and she draws from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and family systems work. Monica is known for her warm presence, cultural sensitivity, and ability to connect authentically with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Monica will be offering counseling services at our Bloom office, as well as in select Oldham County schools, helping increase access to mental health support for youth and families in the community. She is committed to fostering healing, connection, and long-term well-being through thoughtful, personalized care.
